This presentation addresses the need for people who want to use document databases, but would like more formalism in designing their solution. The need for more formalism comes from experience in designing RDBMS solutions, or simply for a better way to communicate the design to the other members of the team.

The presentation goes over the model and shows examples with the Northwind database, transforming it from a classic ER notation to a full NoSQL notation. The proposed notation contains support for types, references, values, cardinality, constraints...but tries to stay simple when those modelization elements are not used.
